Stamping for Babies

Come to a fun STAMPING FOR BABIES Card Buffet (where you get to pick from several cards and make as many as you want). Note: Stamping for Babies is the cause, it doesn't mean we are only stamping baby cards.

Date: Tuesday, March 30th at Noon or 7pm (your choice). Bring your own adhesive, I'll provide all of the other supplies. Everything is pre-cut and ready for you to stamp and assemble, so you can go home with finished cards ready to use.

Cost is $1 donation per card. All of the money raised will go to "Team Sydney and Friends" in the March for Babies (March of Dimes). Come have a fun time stamping and support a great cause at the same time. The mission of the March of Dimes is to help all babies be born healthy (by preventing birth defects, prematurity, and infant mortality).

This cause is near and dear to us as Sydney was born at 27 weeks and spent 100 days in the hospital. This year we are the Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes and we want to help spread the word about what they do. Please help us help other babies. You can see more about the March for Babies on our team website http://marchforbabies.org/teams/Sydney. If you'd like to donate to or walk with our team, you can do so on our website (or contact me).

Kindness from the Heart II

Here's another variation of one of the cards I posted last week. I changed the colors around because I needed to use a different striped paper from the Welcome Neighbor designer series paper pack. I used the Heard from the Heart stamp set for the greeting and the I (Heart) Hearts set for the heart. The patterned paper is from the Welcome Neighbor DSP that is available for FREE during Sale-a-Bration (ends March 31). I used the 1-3/4" circle punch to punch out the heart. This is a quick and easy card to make. Colors are certainly celery, real red, and always artichoke.

Pastel For All You Do

I wish that the pastel colors would show up a little better in photographs, but hopefully you can see this well enough. I used the For All You Do stamp set for the flowers and stamped them in Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery. I layered three different papers from the Tea Party designer series paper collection and tied a pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon around the card.

Baby Fox and Friends

Here's a generic baby card using the Fox and Friends stamp set. I stuck with the generic baby colors so that I could make a bunch of this card to have on hand and not run out of girl or boy cards. Colors are So Saffron and Certainly Celery. The strip of designer series paper is from the Welcome Neighbor paper stack that is available until the end of this month for free. I used the white taffeta ribbon and scallop edge punch to finish off the card.

Razzleberry Butterfly

I've been taking advantage of nap time this week and I've gotten a bunch of stamping done. This card is one that I just sat down and made with the intention to use this paper and the butterfly punch. It is a pretty simple card with very little stamping, but I like the way it turned out. I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, layered it on some Old Olive card stock, layered that on white, tied a piece of white taffeta ribbon around that, and mounted it all on a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock. The butterfly stamp is from the Flight of the Butterfly set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink, then punched out with the butterfly punch--I LOVE how the punch fits the stamps!!! I mounted the butterfly onto the card with some Stampin' Dimensionals and that is it. Enjoy!

Razzleberry Birthday

Does this card look familiar? Check out my post from March 7 and you'll see why. I made the same card but I used Rich Razzleberry instead of Bermuda Bay. If you like this stamp set (Happy Moments) you have just a couple more weeks to get it--Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st. Place a $50 order now and you'll get it for FREE.

Flower Punch Thank You

I love the new flower punch that debuted in this year's Occasions Mini Catalog! It helps make such fun and easy cards! When I created this card, I decided to use up some scraps of designer series paper that I've had, so that is what I did. I used some rainbow sherbet dsp (I wish they still sold it) and it gave me color inspiration for the card. Card stock colors include apricot appeal, gable green, and tempting turquoise. The thank you stamp is from the On the Spot stamp set.

Kindness from the Heart

I've used this basic layout on 3x6 cards, but thought it might be fun to try out on a basic 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card. I like the way it turned out, and this card size allows for a greeting along the bottom of the card.

Patterned Balloon Birthday

Here's a fun way to "color" in stamped images--stamp the image on your card, then stamp it onto a piece of patterned paper, cut it out, and glue the patterned image onto the original image.

This is the fourth card that we did at my birthday stamp-a-stack. We used the Melon Mambo Patterns DSP paper, black and white card stock, the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, and some black gingham ribbon.

Monkey Birthday

Here's a third card from the Birthday stamp-a-stack. I used the Fox and Friends stamp set for the monkey, the Party Hearty set for the party hat, and the Eat Cake set for the "happy birthday". Colors are certainly celery, chocolate chip, and brilliant blue. The patterned paper is from the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper collection. I punched the monkey out with the 1-3/8" circle punch and layered it onto a paper punched with the scallop circle punch.

Bermuda Birthday

Here is another card from my Birthday stamp-a-stack. If you follow my blog, you may recognize the focal point for this card. Back in January I posted a 3x3 card that I used for this card. All I did was take the front of that small card and mount it on some crushed curry card stock and then layer it on the bermuda bay card base. The greeting at the bottom is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set. The focal images are from the sale-a-bration set Happy Moments (which you can still get for FREE with a $50 order placed by the end of this month).

Cumpleanos attempt #1

We didn't make this card at the stamp-a-stack, but I wanted to share it anyway. In my attempt to make a more gender neutral (not girly) card, I made this card with the intention of using it for the class. I wasn't crazy about the black gingham and the fancy font for a boy card, so I tried again with the same layout and different colors (see yesterday's post).

Cumpleanos Birthday

I'm finally posting the cards that we made at my Birthday Stamp-a-Stack last week. This card features the Cumpleanos stamp set that is found in the Spanish Stampin' Up! Catalog. I just noticed it in there a few months ago and realized that it isn't in the regular catalog, but it is available for $15.95. I love the bold images because they make for quick and colorful cards. The "celebrate" comes from the Celebrate Everything stamp set. Colors are green galore, tempting turquoise, only orange, and yoyo yellow.
