Pink (and blue) Patterned Party
Here's another card that we made at my card buffet earlier this month. We used the builder wheels to make the background (and just wheeled it in the pink ink pad instead of using an ink cartridge). The stamp is from Patterned Party and it was inked by using my Stampin' Write markers so that we could get multiple colors on the image. The scallop edge punch was used along the side of the card and then I glued a piece of blue card stock (about 3/4" wide) to the inside of the card to help show off the scallops. Colors are Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist.

Textured Butteflies
Sorry for the delay in posts lately. I finally was able to take the time to photograph the last few cards that we made at my card buffet. Unfortunately, I didn't see the sunny hot spots on the picture until I was adding my watermark, so I hope you don't mind the hot spots (I figured it was better than having to wait to rephotograph).
Anyway, this is a fun card that could be done with a variety of punches. I punched the butterfly punch in four of this year's In Colors (Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Wisteria Wonder--I just love how these 4 coordinate). I glued them onto white card stock and then ran it through my big shot with a textured impressions folder and that's about it. The greeting is from the Short & Sweet stamp set and is punched with the word window punch and layered on the modern label punch. I'll have to try out this technique with other punches and folders and post the results. Be sure to click on the photo to see the texture better.

Christmas in August
At my Card Buffet last week, my sister in law decided that she ought to make some Christmas cards for a card club that she participates in. She took all of the supplies that we had out for this card and turned it into a Christmas card by using the Contempo Christmas stamp set and coordinating ornament punch. I love how it turned out! Colors are Pear Pizazz and Poppy Parade (2010-2012 In Colors).

Best of Purple
I found a new color combination that I love--Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush (both In Colors). This card uses the Best of Everything stamp set and the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set. I inked up the flower stamp by coloring directly on it with my Stampin' Write markers so that the flowers and leaves could be two different colors. The green is also an In Color--Lucky Limeade.

It's Your Day Up Up & Away
Here's a quick and simple card made with the Up, Up & Away stamp set. I used the "It's Your Day" stamp from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set. I love the new In Colors for this year, so I used 3 of them--Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Wisteria Wonder. The stripes are just 1/2" wide strips of card stock.

Trio of Flowers
The Flower Fest stamp set is one of my top 5 favorite sets in the current catalog (I'm not sure what the other 4 are, but I know this has to be up towards the top). I stamped the bud in Wisteria Wonder and Bashful Blue and then punched it out with the 1-3/8" circle punch. The leaves are Certainly Celery (and I just used the ol' scissors for them this time). I textured the background with a textured impressions folder in the Big Shot.

Bright Balloons
Here's another card that I made with the Patterned Party stamp set. I used my Stampin' Write markers and colored directly onto the balloon stamp in order to have them each be a different color. The small "happy birthday" stamp is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the larger one is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set. Colors are: Melon Mambo, Tangerine tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, and Tempting Turquoise.

Up, Up and Away
I found another great set in the new catalog that can be used for many occasions--including birthdays! It's the Up, Up & Away set and you can make the balloons be just balloons or hot air balloons. I love having options and I also like that this set is not girly, so you can use it on more masculine cards as well. I have a tendency to make most of my cards girly, and it seems like so many stamps sets have flowers in them, so it is nice to have some variety here (although this card is girly because of the colors). Anyway, I used the new striped textured impressions folder for the big shot along with the colors Wisteria Wonder & Pool Party (2011-2013 In Colors), and Pink Piroutte.

Thank You Flowers
I used the new Easy Events stamp set (a great all-occasion set) for this card. If you get this set, I'd suggest cutting the words off of the stamp and mounting them on the side of your block. That way you can use the pictures without words, or words with different stamps, etc. The "thanks big time" is from the A Word for You set and is stamped with white craft ink. I paired Rich Razzleberry with Daffodil Delight on this card (and used a little Wild Wasabi to color the flower stems). The "thank you" is stamped repeatedly (3 or 4 times) before inking again so that it gives the faded look.
