I (finally) photographed quite a stack of cards and put them on my computer. Now I can't use that as my excuse for not updating my blog. As long as I can get a few posts composed, I should have several cards to share over the next few weeks.
Today I had to find a card with a bit green in it since it's St. Patrick's Day. Maybe I should have prepared better and made something with a nice bright green, but hey, at least this has a variation of green. My oldest wears uniforms to school so she couldn't wear a green shirt, but we did accessorize with a green shamrock sticker and some green Stampin' Up! ribbon in her hair. Yep, we go all out :) Yesterday she mentioned that maybe a leprechaun would turn our milk green (wasn't going to happen) but when I suggested that we open the box of St. Patrick's Lucky Charms that we bought a couple of weeks ago, she was thrilled because she said the marshmallows would color her milk (great). We did all make sure our pajamas had a bit of green on them, so I think that about covers St. Patrick's Day at our house. We did manage to have Green Eggs and Ham for dinner a couple of weeks ago, but that was to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday.
Now onto the stamping....
This has turned into one of my favorite card layouts. I just love the Designer Series Paper with the Chevron embossing folder. I've switched up the colors and stamps, and have been happy with all of the results. See another card here. I'll show you a couple more like this in upcoming posts. I stamped the "thanks" stamp from the Sale-a-Bration set called Simply Wonderful (it's my favorite stamp in the whole set). Colors used are Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding. I added the flower from the Crazy About You set and punched it with the coordinating flower punch. This is a pretty quick and easy (along with clean and crisp) card to make. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
