Today I mounted my new Bright Blossoms stamp set. I love the style of the petite flowers and I'm excited to spend more time using it. This is the first card that I've made with it. I decided to combine using this new set with the color combo challenge over at Just Add Ink. I decided to combine black and white with Calypso Coral. I cut the three layers and temporarily adhered them together so that I could stamp on all of them at the same time. After stamping, I used my color spritzer and speckled coral all over it. My greeting comes from the A Word for You set and is also stamped in black. Once things were speckled, I took the layers off and layered them onto pieces of Calypso Coral Cardstock (that were each 1/4" bigger than the white pieces). Since I made my card the standard card size and my layers are squares, I filled in the extra space at the bottom with some patterns designer series paper. To finish it all off, I added a piece of 1/8" black taffeta ribbon. Have you tried a color challenge lately?
HONORABLE MENTION!

Shauna, I love this! Such a sweet stamp set (that I really MUST buy!), and the Calypso Coral with black and white makes for such a happy card. The polka dot DSP is the perfect thing to use, to finish off the card. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink this week!
ReplyDeleteFantastic technique and choice of colour to team up with black and white. Thanks for joining us at JAI this week.
ReplyDeleteLove these colours together and I love how you've used Calypso Coral as your main colour. The spritzing really adds to the collage effect of the your stamping. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!
ReplyDeleteI love your card Shauna! The calypso coral as your third colour really pops and love the stamp set youve used to make your triple layer card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at JAI this week
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Love the coral with black and white and the black ribbon touch. Been meaning to get a spritzer for a while but I think your card has definitely put it at the top of the list for the next ore :-)). Love the effect with it.
ReplyDeleteI have seen a few cards made using this set but none that has made me go " I need to get it!" You have really made it pop for me!
Hugs,
Renate, aka the other honorable mention at JAI along with you :-)
